Rachel Aliene Corrie (April 10, 1979 – March 16, 2003) was an American member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) (and a student at the Evergreen State College) who was killed by an Israel Defense Force (IDF) bulldozer in the Gaza Strip (during the Second Intifada), while attempting to prevent IDF forces from demolishing the home of local Palestinian pharmacist Samir Nasrallah.

A strong voice, a courageous woman, and certainly an inspiration to anyone concerned about peace and justice. The loss of her life, is the world's loss, it is our loss. We can only imagine what she would be doing, the further influence she would have, if she were still with us today.
